In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, TTG continues monitor and follow local and provincial information and recommendations to ensure the safety of all trainees, instructors, staff and others. TTG applies and adheres to all public health guidelines as they are updated.

Despite the challenges to training delivery presented by COVID-19, TTG is committed to continuing to use innovative and effective solutions that allow our trainees to safely continue with their training.

We continue to closely monitor and refine these processes based on provincial and local health recommendations.

In adherence to the directive issued by the Ministry of Health’s Chief Medical Officer and the Province of Ontario, effective, September 7, 2021, TTG has implemented and is ensuring compliance with a COVID-19 vaccination policy. COVID-19 July 29, 2020

In response to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, TTG continues to suspend some of its onsite training. The courses and programs affected include Custom Training and Working At Heights.

TTG’s Pre-Apprenticeship Programs in Clinton and Stratford are both currently in progress. This program delivery is based on a blended delivery model of online learning combined with onsite training in small groups for practical hands-on skills development.

TTG is still accepting applications for the Listowel Pre-Apprenticeship Program and the projected start date for this program is mid-October of 2020.

TTG intends to continue with this blended training delivery model in the fall when we welcome back our Welder and Fabricator Apprentices in Stratford.

Despite the challenges to training delivery presented by COVID-19, TTG is committed to continuing to use innovative and effective solutions that allow our trainees continue with their required schooling.

TTG’s team worked closely with community partners and followed provincial and local health recommendations and guidelines to develop new Pandemic policies, procedures, and safety protocols to keep our instructors, staff and trainees safe.

Together we developed a detailed plan to transition back onsite safely and effectively to continue with hands-on training for our trainees. We continue to monitor and refine these processes based on provincial and local health recommendations.

We are incredibly proud of our team, including the TTG board, our senior leadership team, our instructors and our support staff for their ingenuity and flexibility in helping to make these transitions possible.

We would also like to thank our incredible Instructors, The Centre for Employment & Learning-AMDSB, Conestoga College and our trainees for embracing this opportunity and quickly adapting to this new blended delivery model.

Everyone’s commitment to providing the best learning opportunities possible in these challenging times has been truly inspiring.

We continue to closely monitor and evaluate this unprecedented situation and will continue to post updates as they become available.

TTG’s staff continue to work remotely and you can reach us by email at info@technicaltraininggroup.org or at 519-801-8641.

Thank you for your patience during these difficult times and we encourage you to stay connected and support each other.
